Reassurance from the beyond...

Do I look worried?
My last post regrading comet Elenin might spook some people, conjuring visions of the 2012 movie where the Earth is literally coming apart at the seams.  But with or without that kind of input, people are getting unnerved about a variety of things happening around the world and the possible outcome of those events.  We will all be touched one way or another by what is going on in North Africa and the Middle East, and we will feel the spillover of what is happening in Japan, regardless of where you live.  Gas and food prices will be an immediate effect.

Some people may think that information about Elenin serves only to frighten people.  But foreknowledge is power, even if you feel that nothing can be done about what you learn.  For one thing, it reduces confusion and panic if anything were to occur.  But more importantly it alters your perception of your own mortality.  It spins you out of your complacent cocoon of permanence, making you more aware of how impermanent our connection to physical existence really is.

On a brighter  note, Suzy and Matthew Ward issued a special notice addressing the Japan tragedy and Arab revolts.  One of the main points was that "future quakes or eruptions will be fewer and milder—most of the negativity that Earth had to release already has been."  To read the whole message, click here.

There was no mention of Elenin.  This, however, does not negate the fact that the comet is real and will be in our cosmic vicinity until late November.

And, just for laughs:
